A fire and suspected explosion were reported at Unit 6 of the Iran Aluminium Company (IRALCO) in Arak, Iran, with reports saying the cause was a boiler rupture on the production line. The governor of Arak denied that an "explosion, security incident or sabotage" had occurred, saying the incident was merely a "technical failure of the power system."
