Lei Lei, chief forecaster of the Beijing Meteorological Observatory, said that as precipitation echoes continue to advance, the rain will gradually strengthen from noon to evening today, and the rainfall will continue without any break, with a complete end expected only after 22:00. The citywide cumulative rainfall is expected to reach the heavy rain level, and the pre-mountain areas of Yanqing, Huairou, Changping, Pinggu, Mentougou, Fangshan, Daxing, Haidian, Shijingshan and other districts will reach the rainstorm level. In terms of regional scope, the rainstorm area in the northern region will be somewhat larger.
