As of October 8, more than 48 million mu of autumn grain had been harvested across the province, accounting for 76% of the planted area. The five cities of Hengshui, Xingtai, Handan, Dingzhou, and Xinji had harvested over 90% of their autumn grain, Shijiazhuang had harvested over 80%, and Chengde and Cangzhou had harvested over 70%.
