Optical chip sector plunges sharply; three listed companies respond: no news of price cuts
This morning, the A-share optical chip concept sector fluctuated and weakened, with multiple stocks experiencing significant declines. As of press time, Changguang Huaxin and Yuanjie Technology both hit the 20% daily limit down, Shijia Photons fell over 15%, Yongding Co. dropped more than 6%, and Dongshan Precision hit the daily limit down. On the news front, rumors about optical chip price cuts had been circulating in the market, claiming that current optical chip prices are already under pressure and that 1.6T companion optical chips face downward pricing pressure. Reporters separately called Changguang Huaxin, Shijia Photons, and Yongding Co. to verify. Changguang Huaxin stated that the company has not received any news regarding optical chip price cuts; regarding the reasons for the sharp stock price decline, the company also made no speculation. Yongding Co. similarly stated that it was not aware of the relevant situation and would not speculate on the reasons for the stock price anomaly. Shijia Photons stated that the company has not obtained any news about optical chip price cuts, but believes this round of sector adjustment may stem from a research report published by Morgan Stanley on October 1 regarding U.S. Federal Communications Commission policy.
