September heavy truck sales saw some recovery, rising about 10% month-on-month, with exports and electric heavy trucks "carrying the banner."
Zhitong Finance APP has learned that, according to preliminary data from the First Commercial Vehicle Network, in September this year, China's heavy truck market sold a total of about 95,000 units (wholesale sales basis, including exports and new energy vehicles), recovering somewhat from August sales with a month-on-month increase of about 10%, but down about 10% from 106,000 units in the same period last year. In the new energy heavy truck segment, the market passed through the "off-season period" of July and August, with September sales jumping to more than 30,000 units. Total sales are expected to exceed 33,000 units, an increase of nearly 40% from 24,000 units in the same period last year, and also up more than 20% from August.
