The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has begun the recruitment process for two Deputy Governor positions.
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has begun recruitment for the Deputy Governor of Monetary Policy and the Deputy Governor of Payments and Cash. These newly created positions stem from the departure of Deputy Governor Karen Silk, who is responsible for monetary affairs, in mid-December. The new roles are intended to strengthen the leadership team's capabilities, clarify responsibilities, and facilitate closer coordination among the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's core functions. Candidates for these positions are expected to come from within the bank, domestically, and overseas. The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has engaged the executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles to handle the recruitment and selection for both positions.
