AMD (AMD.O) CEO Lisa Su said on Tuesday that the overall CPU market will grow substantially in 2026. Although AMD has increased both supply and capacity in tandem, "demand still exceeds supply," and memory chip supply remains tight. The company will continue to expand supply and said it will significantly increase shipment volumes in 2027. AMD's capacity planning cycle with its supply chain has been extended from one to two years in the past to three to five years. Su said she met today with partners including Acer, Asus, Foxconn and Quanta and held positive discussions, and will meet with TSMC in the afternoon. Su also stated that artificial intelligence benefits the world and will not harm humanity, and that collaboration among leading U.S. AI companies is very important. She said much work remains to be done on safe innovation, and that the U.S. "Superintelligence Task Force" is "an important step forward."
