Hong Kong Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Sun Dong: The Sha Ling data park has commenced construction, with cumulative investment of at least HK$23.8 billion.

Zhito Finance APP has learned that on October 6, Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of Hong Kong, attended the policy briefing of the Legislative Council Panel on Information Technology and Broadcasting and delivered opening remarks on the "Hong Kong First Five-Year Plan" and the 2026 Policy Address. Sun Dong said that in terms of computing power construction, the Sha Ling Data Park has commenced construction and is expected to provide computing power of 180,000 PFLOPS per second by 2032 or earlier, equivalent to 36 times Hong Kong's current computing power, with a cumulative investment scale of at least HK$23.8 billion, providing important support for Hong Kong's development of intelligent computing and the AI industry.
