On October 6, S&P assigned an "AA" local currency long-term issuer credit rating and insurer financial strength rating to AIA Global Insurance Ltd., a newly established subsidiary of AIA Group Limited (referred to as "AIA", 01299.HK). The rating outlook is stable.
