A oil tanker experienced multiple explosions nearby while sailing in the waters southwest of Yemen.

On October 4 local time, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) issued a notice stating that a tanker sailing in waters approximately 60 nautical miles south of Mocha, a Red Sea port city in Yemen's southwestern Taiz Governorate, observed multiple explosions near the vessel. UKMTO said the crew is currently safe and no environmental impact has been reported so far. Relevant authorities are investigating the incident. UKMTO also reminded passing vessels to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.
