The items covered are asphalt concrete, which is heavily affected by oil prices, and metered garbage bags, which are closely related to people's daily lives. The Public Procurement Service implemented the relevant measures for the above commodities in March this year, exempting multiple suppliers from the second-stage competition in contracts to enable rapid supply; at the same time, it relaxed price adjustment conditions so that companies can promptly reflect cost increases in commodity prices when raw material prices rise. Baek Ho-seong, head of the Public Procurement Service, said: "Even if there is uncertainty in the internal and external environment, we will stabilize the operation of the procurement market through proactive administration so that companies can focus on their business activities with peace of mind."
