Tesla will officially launch the Semi electric truck at the inauguration ceremony of its new factory in Nevada.

Tesla will unveil its Semi truck on Thursday evening local time at a grand opening ceremony for its new factory in Sparks, Nevada. The electric vehicle maker said on its official website and social media that it has been nearly nine years since CEO Elon Musk first revealed the electric heavy-duty truck. Designed for long-haul freight, the Semi truck has a range of up to 500 miles. It was first unveiled in 2017 and was originally scheduled to go into production in 2019.
