French President Macron stated that France will send military forces and defensive equipment to the Saudi Red Sea port of Yanbu to protect local oil facilities. Macron said France will deploy soldiers, radar systems, and defense systems, but will not participate in any military conflict. Previously, Saudi Arabia said that missiles launched by the Houthi armed group toward the Red Sea port of Yanbu and the direction of Taif had been intercepted. Macron stated that France's operation this time aims to protect energy facilities and avoid further shocks to the energy market.
