In response, Meituan issued an announcement stating that Meituan Travel and other online hotel booking platforms received notice from the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation that investigations have been opened in accordance with the law into the relevant companies on suspicion of violating laws and regulations related to market regulation. Meituan Travel will actively cooperate with the regulatory authorities' investigation, fully implement regulatory requirements, and work with all parties in the industry to jointly build a sustainable market environment.
