ExxonMobil plans to increase its liquefied natural gas sales to 50 million tons per year by 2030.

Peter Clarke, Senior Vice President of LNG at ExxonMobil International Limited, said ExxonMobil expects its global LNG sales portfolio to reach about 50 million tons per year by 2030, up from its previous forecast of 40 million tons. In an interview with the International Gas Technology Conference in Bangkok on Monday, Clarke said total global LNG demand is expected to grow from about 400 million tons currently to 500 million tons by 2030. LNG demand is expected to reach 1 billion tons by 2050.
