The financial report of AD Ports Group, the largest port operator in the UAE, shows that under its efforts to diversify trade routes, the group's revenue for the second quarter achieved a year-on-year growth of 47%, reaching 1.93 billion USD. Due to frequent disruptions caused by blockades in the trade artery of the Strait of Hormuz, the group expanded its maritime, road, rail, and air transport alternative routes throughout the UAE in the second quarter to ensure the normal flow of goods during turbulent times. Cargo handling and feeder transport services have been redirected to the Port of Fujairah and the Port of Horfakkan in the Gulf of Oman. Additionally, AD Ports Group has added 400 trucks and collaborated with Etihad Rail to increase the frequency of rail services, as well as launched new air cargo solutions.
