The annual planned maintenance work for the Three Gorges Ship Lift in 2026 has been fully initiated. This maintenance will last for 42 days and aims to conduct thorough and in-depth inspections to identify potential equipment hazards and optimize equipment performance, ensuring the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the ship lift moving forward. This maintenance marks the sixth planned shutdown for maintenance since the Three Gorges Ship Lift commenced operations, and it is divided into seven major operational segments, including metal structures, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems, encompassing a total of 68 specific maintenance tasks.
