The "Restriction List" mechanism for the taxi digital management hub in Shanghai has shown significant results.
Taxi operation services are directly related to the city's image. To address various violations and irregularities in hub taxi operations, Shanghai has implemented a self-regulatory management mechanism called the "Restriction List." Since its implementation on May 10, incidents of refusal to carry passengers at major transportation hubs in Shanghai have decreased by nearly 50%. The self-regulatory management mechanism of the restriction list states that for taxis and drivers operating at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, if they engage in violations such as refusing to carry passengers, dropping passengers midway, or cheating for short-distance compensation, they will be included on the restriction list. For the first violation, entry into Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station will be restricted for 3 months; for the second violation, the restriction will last for 6 months; for the third violation, a permanent ban on operating at the aforementioned hubs will be imposed.
