In the first seven months of this year, the number of outbound tax refund applications in Guangdong increased by 6.4 times, with electronic products and clothing becoming popular items.
On August 18, reporters learned from the Guangdong Sub-Administration of Customs that from January to July, customs in Guangdong province processed a total of 186,000 outbound tax refund applications, with the total amount of applications reaching 1.69 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 6.4 times and 1.2 times, respectively. Electronic products and clothing have become popular items for travelers applying for outbound tax refunds. The Guangdong Sub-Administration of Customs stated that it will further optimize customs clearance services, enhance departmental collaboration, and improve the convenience of handling outbound tax refunds.
