Ras Al Khaimah Bank CEO Ahmed: The financial cooperation prospects between the UAE and China are broad.
Recently, Rashid Ahmed, the CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Bank, which is headquartered in the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, accepted an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency. He stated that as the economic and trade cooperation between the UAE and China continues to deepen, the prospects for financial cooperation between the two countries are broad, and there will be more development opportunities for RMB-denominated financial products and capital market cooperation. In recent years, China-Arab economic and trade cooperation has been continuously deepening, with financial connectivity becoming an important link to promote bilateral trade and investment. Ahmed noted that as more and more Chinese companies invest and operate in the UAE, digital payments, cross-border financial services, and RMB settlement will play an increasingly important role. "In the next five years, cross-border trade financing, capital market connectivity, and digital finance will become important directions for UAE-China financial cooperation." Ahmed believes that the UAE's open and inclusive market environment creates favorable conditions for the use of RMB locally and even in the Middle East. The development of digital payment infrastructure will further enhance the efficiency of cross-border payments, providing stronger financial support for bilateral trade and investment.
