The first Boeing 777 wide-body passenger-to-freighter conversion line in the Asia-Pacific region will be established in Qingdao.

According to the People's Daily, recently, Shandong Taikoo Aircraft Engineering Co., Ltd. and Mammoth Freighters, Inc. of the United States officially reached a strategic cooperation agreement to build the first domestic Boeing 777 wide-body freighter conversion line at Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. This project is the first Asia-Pacific conversion base in Mammoth Freighters' global modification network and will provide wide-body freighter conversion services with Chinese efficiency for airlines worldwide, addressing the shortcomings of Shandong Province in the wide-body aircraft major overhaul and passenger-to-freighter conversion industry, effectively enhancing the global competitiveness of the passenger-to-freighter conversion business in the industry.
