The entire line of the "Long Electric into Zhejiang" G4 Standard Section has been fully connected.
On August 16, as the last set of wires steadily reached the traction field, the Gansu to Zhejiang 800 kV UHVDC transmission project, Segment 4, achieved full connectivity. This "power artery" spanning the western foothills of the Qinling Mountains has successfully been established amidst majestic mountains, laying a solid foundation for the overall commissioning of the project. The Gansu to Zhejiang 800 kV UHVDC transmission project is a key initiative of the national "West-to-East Electricity Transmission" strategy. Once completed, it will deliver over 36 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually from Gansu to Zhejiang, with more than 21 billion kilowatt-hours coming from renewable energy sources. The full connectivity of Segment 4 not only provides valuable time for subsequent debugging and commissioning but also accumulates rich experience for the construction of high-difficulty UHV projects in mountainous areas of our country.
