According to the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport, a fishing boat caught fire in the Qiongzhou Strait this morning, putting 8 crew members in danger. The Haikou Maritime Search and Rescue Center immediately dispatched two coast guard vessels that were on the "Escort for Fishing" mission to the scene, and coordinated with Zhanjiang's fishery law enforcement forces for simultaneous assistance. The Hainan Maritime Safety Administration monitored the water area in real time through the vessel traffic management system, continuously broadcasting navigation warnings to guide passing vessels to avoid the area and assist in the rescue. Multiple rescue forces worked together, successfully extinguishing the fire in less than an hour, and all crew members in distress have now been safely transferred.
