According to data from online platforms, as of today at 16:59, the total box office for the summer of 2026 has exceeded 10 billion yuan. "Kung Fu Soccer," "Eight Immortals!," "Spider-Man: A New Day," "Welcome to Dragon Restaurant," and "A Love Letter to Grandma" currently rank in the top five for box office performance during this release period. High-end special effects theaters, such as IMAX and Dolby Cinema, which can maximize the appeal of films, have become the top choice for moviegoers, even becoming a "must-have" battleground. According to official statistics released by the National Film Administration in January 2026, the total number of screens in urban cinemas across the country reached 93,187 by 2025, an increase of 2,219 from 2024, maintaining its position as the world leader in the number of screens.
