Hong Kong Property: In the first seven months of the year, over HKD 20 million in second-hand residential transactions recorded 1,314 cases, setting a new high for the same period in the past five years.
According to the Hong Kong Property Research Department, Director Wang Pindi stated that data from the Hong Kong Property Information Research Department, based on the Land Registry, shows that in the first seven months of this year, there were 35,471 registrations of second-hand residential properties (including second-hand private residential units and second-hand public housing), an increase of approximately 38.5% compared to 25,615 registrations during the same period last year; among them, there were 1,314 registrations of second-hand residential properties exceeding 20 million HKD, a significant rise of about 81% compared to 726 registrations in the same period last year, with the year-on-year increase significantly outperforming the market and reaching a five-year high for the same period.
