On August 15 at 18:00, the Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration jointly issued a yellow alert for mountain flood disasters: From 20:00 on August 15 to 20:00 on August 16, certain areas in northern Sichuan, northwestern Yunnan, northeastern and southeastern Tibet, southern Gansu, southern Qinghai, and southeastern Xinjiang may experience mountain flood disasters. Among these, the likelihood of mountain flood disasters is relatively high in northern Sichuan, northwestern Yunnan, northeastern and southeastern Tibet, southern Gansu, and southeastern Xinjiang. Other areas may also face mountain flood risks due to localized short-duration heavy rainfall. All regions are advised to enhance real-time monitoring, flood prevention alerts, and evacuation measures.
