At 9 a.m. on August 15, the Zhoukou City Flood Control and Drought Relief Command issued a notice announcing the entry into an emergency flood control period. This notice has garnered significant attention from the public. A relevant official from the Zhoukou City Flood Control and Drought Relief Command stated that around 11 p.m. on August 13, a breach occurred in the levee under the Jia Lu River Bridge of the New North Ring Road in the Chuanhui District of Zhoukou City, but the situation is currently under control. At the breach site, rescue teams from China Aneng Engineering and provincial level emergency rescue forces, equipped with excavators, loaders, drainage equipment, and other heavy machinery, are carrying out rescue operations. "Currently, the flood control situation in Zhoukou City is severe, and public attention is high. However, there are also some false statements about flood control circulating online, which could mislead the public. We hope that the public will rely on official information, refrain from believing, spreading, or creating rumors," said a relevant official from the Zhoukou City Flood Control and Drought Relief Command.
