On August 13, the Emergency Management Bureau of Chaozhou issued a statement to debunk rumors: On August 12 and 13, some social media accounts on platforms such as Douyin and Jinri Toutiao spread rumors claiming that "Chaozhou will experience a level 10 earthquake." As of now, our city has not received any earthquake prediction information from higher authoritative departments.
