The Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration jointly issued an orange alert for mountain flood disasters at 18:00 on August 12.

It is expected that from 8 PM on August 12 to 8 PM on August 13, there will be a high possibility of mountain flood disasters occurring in some areas of southwestern Henan and northwestern Hubei, with a particularly high likelihood in some regions of northwestern Hubei. Other areas may also experience mountain flood disasters due to localized short-duration heavy rainfall. All regions are advised to conduct real-time monitoring, issue flood prevention warnings, and implement relocation and safety measures.
