A strong earthquake in Colombia has resulted in injuries and damage to buildings.

On the morning of the 10th, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, causing strong tremors across multiple regions of the country. Nubia Carolina Crdoba, the governor of Choc province, stated on social media that there were injuries in the provincial capital, Quibd, and some buildings were severely damaged. Bogot's mayor, Carlos Fernando Galn, also mentioned on social media that there have been no reports of casualties in the city as of now. According to local media, several cities, including Bogot, Pereira in Risaralda province, and Manizales in Caldas province, experienced strong tremors, forcing some residents to evacuate their homes. The Colombian Geological Institute reported that the earthquake occurred at 7:34 AM local time on the 10th, with an epicenter about 20 kilometers away from the town of San Jos del Palmar in Choc province, and a depth of 96 kilometers.
