Official report: "Two individuals dumped household waste into the sea."

On August 10, the People's Government of Longtian Town, Chaonan District, Shantou City, issued a situation report: Recently, a video circulated online showing "two men dumping household waste into the sea." Our town immediately initiated verification and handling of the matter. After investigation, it was confirmed that on August 9 at around 11 PM, two villagers from Shikeng Village, Lin and Fang, disposed of household waste into the sea after drinking. Following the incident, our town swiftly organized personnel to completely clean up and remove the waste from the site, and this has now been completed. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies are investigating and collecting evidence against Lin and Fang, administering administrative penalties in accordance with the law, and providing them with serious criticism and education. Moving forward, our town will continue to reinforce management responsibilities, increase inspection frequency, strengthen public legal education, and resolutely eliminate behaviors such as illegal dumping of household waste, effectively maintaining environmental cleanliness.
