The Ministry of Water Resources holds rolling meetings to deploy flood prevention measures for Typhoon "Bohai Dolphin" and its heavy rain and flooding.

On the morning of August 10, Li Guoying, deputy commander of the National Defense General Headquarters and Minister of Water Resources, presided over a special meeting to analyze and assess the development trends and impacts of this year's No. 13 typhoon "Baidh Dolphin." He called for a re-deployment and implementation of flood prevention work in the face of typhoon rainstorms. Li Guoying emphasized the need to make every effort in five key areas. First, further refine and implement mountain flood disaster prevention measures to ensure no casualties. Second, further refine and implement flood prevention measures for small and medium rivers to ensure major levees do not breach. Third, further refine and implement flood prevention measures for small and medium reservoirs and dangerous reservoirs to ensure dams do not collapse. Fourth, further refine and implement water engineering scheduling plans for the Huai River, Yellow River, and Hai River basins. Fifth, further refine and implement flood prevention work for the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
