The UAE plans to invest billions of dollars to build a new LNG export terminal in an effort to avoid risks in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Zhitoong Finance APP, Adnoc Gas Plc, a natural gas subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), is considering the construction of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility outside the Strait of Hormuz. This move is the latest initiative by the UAE to build infrastructure to bypass this critical waterway, as the ongoing conflict in Iran has severely disrupted navigation safety in the strait.
