On July 7, reporters learned from the Capital Power Trading Center that the center, in collaboration with the Heilongjiang and Qinghai Power Trading Centers, will carry out the first "bundled wind and solar" green electricity transactions from Heilongjiang and Qinghai into Beijing in the summer of 2026. This "bundled wind and solar" green electricity transaction will cover the peak electricity usage windows in summer and the autumn-winter period, with a planned delivery of 234 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity. During the summer peak electricity usage period, the "group" delivery of green electricity from Heilongjiang and Qinghai will reach 47 million kilowatt-hours. Wang Li, the deputy general manager of the Capital Power Trading Center, explained, "Qinghai has more solar power output during the day, while Heilongjiang has more wind power output at night. We optimize the configuration based on different generation characteristics, enabling day-and-night complementarity and relay trading." Since the beginning of this year, Beijing has been continuously expanding the supply of external green electricity by innovating transaction organizational models, expanding green electricity application scenarios, and catering to diverse customer needs, consistently enlarging Beijing's green electricity "circle of friends." Currently, 16 provinces and regions from five major areas, including North China, Northeast China, Northwest China, Southwest China, and Central China, are supplying green electricity to Beijing. In the first half of this year, the scale of green electricity transactions exceeded 20 billion kilowatt-hours, with cross-regional green electricity transaction volume increasing by 88% year-on-year, effectively expanding the supply and consumption capacity of green electricity in Beijing.
