Sales of AI glasses in Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen, have surged by 100%.

Since the start of summer, Huaqiangbei in Shenzhen has welcomed a global purchasing boom. Summer has always been a peak season for foreign trade in Huaqiangbei, and this year, sales of AI hardware are particularly hot, with almost every counter seeing foreign faces inquiring about prices, trying on products, and packing purchases. Data from the streets of Huaqiangbei shows that nearly 8,000 foreign merchants come to purchase daily this year. By July 2026, the proportion of AI products in Huaqiangbeis electronic product market will significantly rise from 41% in 2025 to 61%. From January to July 2026, the total sales of all categories of AI products in Huaqiangbei saw a year-on-year increase of over 55%, with AI glasses sales surging by 100% and sales of drones and robots increasing by 60% to 70%.
