The new batch of silver bonds in Hong Kong will be available for subscription starting from August 21, with a total issuance amount of up to HKD 55 billion and a guaranteed interest rate of 4.25%.
According to the Zhitong Finance APP, on August 6, the Hong Kong government announced the details of the new batch of silver bonds for sale. The target issuance amount is HK$50 billion, with a maximum issuance of HK$55 billion depending on subscription response. Each bond unit is HK$10,000, with a term of 3 years. Interest is paid semi-annually, and the interest rate is linked to local inflation, with a guaranteed interest rate of 4.25% this time, higher than the previous batch of 3.85%.
