According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Huayi Jin (08123.HK) has announced that the group expects to incur a loss of approximately HK$5.9 million in the first half of 2026, while reporting a profit of approximately HK$7 million in the first half of 2025. Despite the group achieving a significant increase in revenue to approximately HK$46.1 million in the first half of 2026 (compared to approximately HK$4.5 million in the first half of 2025), this revenue growth was accompanied by changes in finished goods inventory and corresponding increases in other direct costs. Therefore, excluding the impact of one-time impairment reversals, the groups relevant operational performance in the first half of 2026 is roughly similar to that of the first half of 2025. The loss was primarily due to several one-time and non-cash items. In the first half of 2026, there was no significant reversal of impairment losses on automobile purchase prepayments (approximately HK$18.6 million in the first half of 2025). This impact was partially offset by a reversal of impairment losses on other receivables recognized in the first half of 2026 amounting to approximately HK$3.5 million (none in the first half of 2025).
