Indonesia reduces domestic flight fuel surcharges due to falling fuel prices.
On August 1, the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation announced that in response to the decline in global jet fuel prices, the maximum cap for domestic flight fuel surcharges would be reduced from 50% to 30% of the regulated maximum ticket price. This new regulation applies only to commercial domestic economy class flights. The Ministry of Transportation will regularly review the price cap to ensure that travelers can afford ticket costs. This policy adjustment aims to maintain the accessibility of national aviation while ensuring the long-term stability of airline operations.
