Multiple regions increase subsidies for purchasing cars, and Chongqing includes "electric bicycles" in the new policy for the first time.

Many regions are gradually introducing car purchase subsidies to promote automotive consumption. On August 1, the city of Xi'an announced an automotive consumption subsidy policy, whereby individual consumers purchasing new energy passenger vehicles listed in the "Catalog of New Energy Vehicles Eligible for Tax Reduction and Exemption" will receive a subsidy of 2% of the purchase invoice price, with a maximum subsidy of 10,000 yuan. Meanwhile, Xi'an also offers subsidies for second-hand vehicles. In addition, the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Commerce announced that starting from August 1, consumers applying for subsidies for scrapping or replacing vehicles can submit materials directly through relevant WeChat or Alipay mini-programs without needing to obtain qualification in advance. The Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce specified that the total quota for subsidies for scrapping and replacing vehicles in August is 250 million yuan, allocated on a "first come, first served" basis. Chongqing adjusted the subsidy amount gradients for purchasing new vehicles starting on August 1 and also newly implemented subsidy policies for purchasing motorcycles and electric bicycles for the first time. The detailed standards are as follows: individual consumers who scrap eligible old vehicles and purchase new energy passenger vehicles will receive a subsidy of 12% of the new vehicle's sales price, with a maximum subsidy of 20,000 yuan; those purchasing new fuel passenger vehicles will receive a subsidy of 10% of the new vehicle's sales price, with a maximum subsidy of 15,000 yuan; and individuals purchasing new electric bicycles, two-wheeled electric motorcycles, or two-wheeled fuel motorcycles will receive a subsidy of 10% of the vehicle's price, with a maximum subsidy of 1,500 yuan per vehicle.
