The National Medical Insurance Administration held a mid-term advancement meeting on the special rectification of prominent issues in the management of medical insurance funds nationwide.

On July 31, the National Medical Insurance Administration (NMI) held a joint meeting with the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Finance, the National Health Commission, the State Taxation Administration, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the National Medical Products Administration. This meeting aimed at advancing the mid-term work on the comprehensive rectification of prominent issues in the management of medical insurance funds across the country. The meeting focused on deeply studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions regarding the management of medical insurance funds, earnestly executing the central discipline inspection and supervision commission's deployment for concentrated rectification work, particularly the requirements from the scheduling meeting, ensuring that extraordinary measures and high-quality efforts are integrated to achieve results that satisfy the public. Zhang Ke, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the National Medical Insurance Administration, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting pointed out that the special rectification of prominent issues in medical insurance fund management is a major decision made by the Party Central Committee. General Secretary Xi Jinping places great importance on the management of medical insurance funds and has made important instructions on multiple occasions. The NMI is vigorously promoting the special rectification work with a decisive attitude, yielding deepening rectification results and continuously purifying the industry ecosystem. In the first half of the year, the characteristics of "six enhancements" emerged: more robust overall promotion, a more consolidated high-pressure stance, a tighter regulatory defense line, deeper comprehensive policy measures, more accessible guarantees, and a more cohesive rectification force, achieving phased results. The meeting emphasized that all levels and departments should raise their political stance, resolutely implement the spirit of the central discipline inspection and supervision commission's scheduling meeting, solidify responsibilities, refine measures, and strengthen work implementation. The focus should be on rectification priorities, and careful planning for the next phase of work should be carried out. With flying inspections as a focal point and clues as guidance, continuous strict investigations and penalties should be enforced; utilizing innovative methods such as self-inspection and self-correction, pre-reminders, and warning education to promote industry self-discipline; adopting refined management as a pathway to drive systematic governance; strengthening the long-term mechanism for support to integrate both root causes and symptoms in rectification; directing rectification efforts towards benefiting the public to enhance people's welfare; and focusing on departmental collaboration to consolidate regulatory synergy. The aim is to strengthen internal development, enhance team capabilities, cultivate excellent work styles, standardize law enforcement inspections, and uphold discipline and rules. We will solidify our confidence and continue our efforts, using a strong work style to win the special rectification battle, and constantly create achievements that are worthy of the times and the people.
