Russia attacks Kyiv's production facility for American drones.
According to a report by the British newspaper The Guardian on July 31, a Russian ballistic missile destroyed a drone factory located in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, on the same day. The factory is owned by a company registered in Delaware, USA. The report states that this appears to be the first time Russia has targeted an American defense contractor in the conflict. The company is called Terminal Autonomous Drone Company. According to an individual familiar with the company, Terminal Autonomous produces high-precision drones for "deep strike," and its guidance systems can withstand Russian signal jamming. Delaware government records indicate that the company was established in the state in 2023. The companys website states: "We deploy AI-guided loitering munitions and precision-guided munitions, which have been used in combat on the front lines to strike enemy targets." Neither Terminal Autonomous Drone Company nor the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense responded to requests for comment from journalists.
