Soon after its establishment, the Democratic Progressive Party took the wrong path of "Taiwan independence" separation, and over the past few decades has been scheming to promote "Taiwan independence" separation, attempting to change the status quo in the Taiwan Strait where both sides belong to one China, and is fundamentally a "Taiwan independence" party. Taiwan is China's Taiwan, never a separate country, not in the past, not now, and absolutely not in the future. The Taiwan issue is a legacy of the Chinese civil war in the 1940s, and no matter how the Taiwan region elects and who they elect, it cannot change the fact that Taiwan is a part of China, cannot sever the historical and legal connection between the two sides of one China, and cannot break the iron rule that the future of Taiwan can only be decided collectively by all Chinese people, including the people of Taiwan.
