On July 21, the Sichuan local freight railway - Yanlian Railway opened up direct transportation services with the national railway freight, achieving the goal of "one ticket direct, network-wide access" for railway freight. With this, all 6 local freight railways in Sichuan have been integrated into the national railway network. The Yanlian Railway, spanning the cities of Leshan, Meishan, and Neijiang, starts from the Yangan South Station in Leshan, passing through the ports of Leshan and Jingyan to Lianjie Station, with a total length of 123.5 kilometers. It connects to the Guilian Railway and links the Chengkun and Chengyu national trunk lines, serving as a major channel for the transportation of bulk materials such as ores and industrial raw materials in the Panxi region. After the integration of the local freight railways in Sichuan, including Yanlian, Xuda, Guilian, Jinjun, Longxu, and Longlusu, with the national railway freight, they will now adhere to the national railway's average fare level, effectively reducing transportation costs for various business entities along the line, such as industrial, commercial, and logistics enterprises. It is estimated that this integration will save over 100 million yuan in regional comprehensive logistics costs per year.
