Ministry of Transport: New energy heavy truck penetration rate is expected to exceed 40% by 2030.

On the morning of July 21st, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the situation related to accelerating the construction of a strong transportation country and improving the modern comprehensive transportation system. Cai Tuanjie, Safety Director and Director of Transportation Services of the Ministry of Transport, stated that the Ministry of Transport attaches great importance to this issue and has taken a series of measures in collaboration with relevant departments. In May of this year, the Ministry of Transport, in conjunction with eleven other departments including the National Development and Reform Commission, jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the Large-Scale Application of New Energy Heavy Trucks". This "Implementation Plan" is relatively systematic and has been made public. Its core goal is to achieve carbon peak in the transportation sector by 2030, with the target of reaching a 40% penetration rate of new energy heavy trucks and a fleet size exceeding 1.6 million by 2030. Of course, based on the current development trend, we may exceed this goal, but we still need to strive to do better.
