President Xi Jinping appoints and dismisses ambassadors abroad.

President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China, in accordance with the decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, has appointed and removed the following ambassadors: 1. Dismissal of Cui Wei from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Iraq; Appointment of Xiang Bo as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Iraq. 2. Dismissal of Liu Yantao from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Cyprus; Appointment of Yang Yundong as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Cyprus. 3. Dismissal of Xu Xueyuan from the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Panama; Appointment of Zhang Xiangyan as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Panama.
