CCTV financial reporters learned today that in order to ensure the personal health and safety of consumers, in accordance with the "Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors" and other laws and regulations, the State Administration for Market Regulation has issued a notice on the quality and safety of "building block" products. Among them, the "building block" products for children under 14 years old: should pass the mandatory toy product certification, not be illegally matched with household appliances at the time of toy production through methods such as "promotional sales" or "free gifts"; products should be labeled with product applicable age, safety warnings and other precautions in a prominent position, explicitly informing parents of purchasing precautions, reminding parents to fulfill their responsibilities of monitoring children, and selecting appropriate toys according to the applicable age, strictly prohibiting ambiguous or false labeling. The State Administration for Market Regulation requires that the producers of "building block" products strictly organize production in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and strengthen quality control. Sellers should strictly implement the main responsibility for product quality and safety, and perform the duty of inspecting goods. E-commerce platforms should strengthen the verification and inspection of "building block" products sold on the platform, immediately take necessary disposal measures for any violations found, and report to the market supervision department in accordance with the law.
