The State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has initiated a level III emergency response for flood prevention in Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Anhui, and Jiangxi.
According to the forecast of the meteorological department, in the next three days, Beijing, Tianjin, Anhui, Jiangxi, Liaoning, and Heilongjiang will experience heavy rain, locally heavy rain, and some areas will have short-term heavy rainfall. The risk of disasters such as flash floods, geological disasters, floods in small and medium-sized rivers, and urban waterlogging is relatively high due to the impact of Typhoon "Bavi" and its transmission of water vapor. According to the "National Flood and Drought Emergency Response Plan" and relevant regulations, the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has decided to raise the national flood control level from level four to level three for Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Anhui, and Jiangxi starting at 20:00 on July 11, and to activate level four flood control emergency response for Heilongjiang. A working group from the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters will be sent to Beijing to assist in guiding flood control work.
