Beijing Meteorological Observatory issued a red alert for heavy rain at 3pm on July 11: The Beijing Meteorological Observatory upgraded and issued a regional red alert for heavy rain, expecting heavy rain in Fangshan, Pinggu, Miyun, Huairou, Mentougou, Fengtai, Daxing, Tongzhou, and Shunyi from 7pm on July 11 to 8am on July 12. In some areas, the 6-hour rainfall could reach 150 mm, and the 24-hour rainfall could exceed 200 mm. Haidian, Chaoyang, Dongcheng, Xicheng, Shijingshan, Changping, Yanqing, and the Economic Development Zone maintain an orange alert for heavy rain. There is a high risk of secondary disasters such as floods, mountain floods, and geological hazards caused by heavy rain in mountainous areas and hills, and low-lying areas may experience waterlogging.
