The Ministry of Water Resources has initiated a level IV emergency response for flood prevention in Heilongjiang Province.
According to the forecast, due to the influence of the outer moisture of Typhoon "Bavi" and cold air, from July 11th to 15th, there will be heavy to torrential rain in some areas of central and eastern Heilongjiang. The Songhua River, Nen River, Yalu River, Lalin River, Ant River, Mudanjiang River, and Tangwang River will experience a significant rise in water levels. The Lalin River may experience a numbered flood, and some small to medium rivers within the heavy rain area may experience significant flooding. There is a high risk of flash floods in hilly areas. In accordance with the "Emergency Response Regulations for Flood Control and Drought Relief" of the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Water Resources initiated a Level IV emergency response for flood control in Heilongjiang Province on July 11th at 12:00.
