Zhejiang raises its typhoon emergency response level to level I.

Typhoon "Bavi", the 9th typhoon of this year, was located at 9:00 on July 11th approximately 489 kilometers off the coast of Wenzhou, with maximum wind force near the center reaching 14 levels. It is expected that "Bavi" will move rapidly towards the northwest at a speed of 30-35 kilometers per hour, and is expected to make landfall in the area of Cangnan to Sanmen in Zhejiang Province around midnight on the 11th, continuing to move in a northwest to north direction after landfall. From the 11th to the 12th, it will bring strong winds, rain, high waves, and storm surge to Zhejiang. According to the "Zhejiang Province Flood and Typhoon Emergency Response Plan" and the defense plan for Typhoon "Bavi", after evaluation and consultation, the Zhejiang Provincial Flood Control Headquarters decided to raise the emergency response to level I at 11:00 on July 11th, and requires all local departments to closely monitor the development of the typhoon, fully implement the typhoon defense plan, and if necessary, declare an emergency flood prevention period, implement measures such as stopping outdoor group activities, work, classes, business operations, transportation, and closing traffic routes.
